  2. It surprised me that until sixteenth century, France celebrated de new year on 1st April! I've never heared it. This is the origin of April's Fool's Day, It´s similar to "Día de los Inocentes" in Spain, although we celebrated it on 28th december.
I liked to know what kind of jokes prepared the BBC TV in past. In my opinion people was more inocent than now, because In actually no one would believe something as absurd as The Spaghettis´s tree!!

In this URL you can see a video about the original BBC'S programme where they did this joke. I must admit it seem very real! ;D

My principal surprise is that the first celebration of the father´s day was only 100 years. and that is celebrated in different dates along the planet.
During centuries, the civilizations that have lived our planet, have been considered to be essentially machists, but these same civilizations in theirs conscience have been want to be grateful to all the women, in theirs mothers' paper for this labor that at present is for all the people recognized.

  4. It is ok, but change these things related to the structure of the sentence:
that have lived in our planet
that nowdays is recognized by everybody.

i think that american´s people are very be grateful by alls partys that they do.But the celebration that i've surprised is Thanksgiving Day because in this day they give thank to god,to their food,to their families and friends and they are happies with all.it is peace and love day and to have a dinner with the family the most important of all year.In spain the most similar dinner is the dinner of christmas, but this by different reason.

  6. The celebration that most surprised me has been the summer solstice. Perhaps because, in Spain, in the summer solstice, the people go to the beach, make bonfire, barbacues and they wait midnight to swim in the sea.It is a different way to celebrate the same thing.
In my opinion, the celebration in Wiltshire is more magic that in Spain.
In Spain is more a gathering of friends to welcome the good weather.

  7. The celebration that most surprised me was "Guy Fawkes Night". I had never heared it before.
This celebration is very similar to another who celebrate in my town although the story of this celebration is diferent.
In my town we celebrate "Los Humarrachos" on 31 March and people in each neighborhood, build a big fire outside with old thing and old pieces of wood that they don't want. The story of this celebration is to burn old thing and bad memories to begin a new year with the spring.
